The importance of lighting
We include a built-in light because lighting is the most essential element for capturing good-quality video. In dark or bright rooms, people faces are kept well let. No unflattering shadows on the face and other lost detail.

Camera Position
You want people to look into the camera naturally during their speech.  The HD camera in SpeechBooth is embedded right where guests will look into it. Our app interface provides additional guidance to look right into the camera for a great-looking speech.

Do you offer a more advanced camera options like 4K UHD, etc?  No, we use the built-in HD720P front-facing camera on the tablet (read why below). 

Why?  The SpeechBooth spirit animal is speakers corner, a video booth that was located in downtown Toronto almost 30 years ago. The audio and video quality of that video booth aren’t a fraction of the quality that SpeechBoth is today and yet the content is still genuine, unique, and inspired all these years later.

Our goal at SpeechBooth is to help you easily collect great video content that is emotive, candid, funny, heartfelt, genuine, & more. At this point in time, adding camera equipment to SpeechBooth increases complexity & cost and reduces portability & DIY setup. We decided to focus on ease of use and great content and ultimately we love the results we get using the built-in camera.  We think you’ll agree.
